Jason and Shinta went to Torquay to try for Garfish, unfortunately no gars were caught! Shinta did manage a cracking Mackerel, especially for this time of year, it weighed in at 1lb 12oz 8drm a new PB.
Had a day off work to go for the Gilts in Salcombe on Friday the 22nd May. Only had two noticeable bites in an 8 hour session but luckily for me I managed to hook this fantastic fighting fish which officially weighed in at 5lb 5oz 2drm.
Dave Fortune tried for the gilts on Sunday with good success! Dave managed 10 gilts in an early morning session at Tosnoss, thats some going! His best was 2lb 6oz 2drm a cracking fish in his first ever gilthead session and a new club record.
Headed down to Slacombe on Bank Holiday Monday in search of Gilthead bream. I Had 4 in total which were all returned, the biggest was approx 1lb and I also had a bonus Bass of 2lb 12oz. Unfortunately the day will be remembered for the sizeable fish I lost early on!
Fished the flood tide on the River Dart hoping for some early Bass. There were no monsters but had some great sport with 6 landed between 3 of us the biggest was 3lb 8oz.
Jason fished the Scabbacombe area with Shinta on Wednesday 22nd April and picked up this cracking Huss! The official weight was 16lb 2oz 10drm an absolute monster and a New Club Record!
